Long ago, even before Japan was called "Japan," the Seto Inland Sea was Japan's main artery, connecting the continent with the Imperial Court.

The beauty of the islands floating in the calm sea, interwoven with light and shadow over time, was praised by many foreigners, including German geographer von Richtofen, traveler Thomas Cook, and author Lafcadio Hearn.

Then, in 1934, the Seto Inland Sea was designated as one of Japan's first national parks.

Today, the number of cyclists visiting the Shimanami Kaido, which is known as "one of the world's cycling roads," is increasing.

However, cyclists have the following constraints.
